Government Model Residential Polytechnic College was set up in the year 1986 a constituent college of Department of technical education Vijayawada.
The college offers in 1986 introducing three branches in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, EEE and 1995 introducing ECE. Currently running four branches i.e. Civil, Mechanical, EEE, and ECE. The intake 60 Seats of each Branch.
The college approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affilaited to affiliated to State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad (SBTE&T, Hyderabad).
