Government Polytechnic College was founded in July 1962 under Open door policy of government . It is a government College located at Jabalpur Road , Balaghat of Madhya Pradesh state. At the first, it was run by a society and after then became under MP government in the year 1984. The area of this college is about 10.50 Acres surrounded by a Wainganga Rever and a dense teak wood forest.
The College is approved by AICTE and affiliated to RGPV Bhopal Government Polytecnic College imparts diploma courses like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Comp. Sc. & Engg which is the technical university of Madhya Pradesh.
