Government Polytechnic for Women, Bangalore was set up in the year 1961-62 by the Government of Karnataka under the Directorate of Technical Education with a humble starting of 80 girl students, to cater to the needs of Changing Technology.
GPW bangalore provides free Education to the girl students in varied Fields. This is situated in the heart of city. At current the College has 950 students.
