SJ Government Polytechnic Bangalore was setup in the year 1943 . This Institute is situated in the heart of the city amidst serene surroundings of its campus, and SJGP approved by AICTE and affiliated to BTE.
This college was offering three year Diploma/Polytechnic Courses in 12 disciplines till 2005 – 06 additioning traditional courses. From the academic year 2006 – 07 ,with the introduction of two more disciplines - Mechatronics & Civil (Environmental), the number of programmes in Engg. & Technology has gone upto 14. SJGP also boasts of a Post Diploma Course in Software Testing skills.
